It was half-assed/childish (specially in the middle where it tried to be a food anime) but it really wasn't all that bad, it didn't have much of anything to annoy me and I skipped forward very little, it was worth watching and I'll probably watch the next season too.
Recommended to fans of isekai and teenagers.

It's mediocre. I think all-in-all, it's not bad, but repeated/reused animation scenes was a bummer for me. Story is not so strong either, it feels abrupt perhaps? It does not feel that MC was in the world for just a short time, however he is still a solid character nevertheless. I would say, this anime is a watch and forget type, you will not be willing to skip it if you start to watch, but you won't miss anything if you don't.

Idk how that one guy said it's going to be unique and decided to list some of the most common features of an isekai.
But in any case, the start was kinda nice, you got introduced to some good features with a lot of game features. But as usual everything goes to some typical plots and even the animation value drops like crazy.
While content-wise I'd say this is okay for isekai fan, the quality (execution) might not be desirable.

If you heard this is typical isekai, don't believe it, someone blind told it. This was very pleasurable watch, totally different than all of the isekais you saw. I would give it strong 8/10. Main difference is: main character is lone wolf and enjoys the silence. Many beauties, but only as characters to push the plot. And the plot itself is very different too, more like lots of tiny 1-2 episode long, random plots that at some point gives the bigger picture. Yuji is OP, but generally only because he has full list of spells and he can use them all, not because he is super strong or wise or something this way, he just casts a lot. Hard to call it comedy, but not too serious too... although these little dudes can be very funny to watch :)

A nice slice of life fantasy, protagonist from another world. It felt a little short but a complete tale which was nicely book-ended, no cliff hangers or sharp plot twists. When considering the timescale this story occurs at an unbelievably fast pace.
The main character at times felt disinterested and over the top, almost everything he does and approach he takes is somewhat predictable, only the reason for finally doing what is expected is the mystery of each episode. The story doesn't focus around the progression of strength mostly, which is a positive in and of itself, it focus' more about the overarching story.
Short sweet, I like these kinds of animes this one doesn't disappoint and contains some of what I consider to be all the best parts.

So-so. They did rather meh work.
Reused attacks, reused art, boring as hell mc, meh story...
For some ridiculous reason he can run out of mp but cast magic anyway and even go into a massive negative, then for some reason he can use his hp instead which sounds like blood magic.. Nobody ever explains any how's or why's....
I'd rate this 5/10 at best.
Second season is possible, maybe things will improve there but i have my doubts.

The ending song alone is better than all seasons of "I got reincarnated as a slime". He is already overpowered, so what? he didn't spend 2 episodes training and gaining power. It was actually very enjoyable and the Slimes voices are very adorable. The ending song is amazing.

MCs that are OP are a guilty pleasure of mine, but this latest installment was dull. The main character, side characters, adventures and overall enjoyment weren't for me. For fans of isekai.

Pretty run of the mill isekai, with a different twist on how the MC is OP. Though, there are tons of things that just make no sense whatsoever, which is one of the things I didn't like. No explanations, no logic behind them. I'm usually a fan of MC is OP Isekais, because there's usually some sort of logic behind why.
This is also set up for a second season should they decide to, but it's just plain. No real dressings and nothing to make it stand out.
If you're looking for another isekai with lots of over the top stuff, you'll find that here, just don't expect too much.

This isekai has something other isekai also has - an overpowered protagonist.
However,
this isekai also has something other isekai very rarely have - an actual reason why said protagonist is overpowered.
This, in my opinion, elevates this show above the vast mediocrity that is a staple in this genre.
