This Big Maine Bull Moose came into the MEGS Guide’s moose call grunting & tearing up trees all the way in!
Come moose hunting in Maine for our largest big game animal – the moose, with Maine Experience Guide Service!
On price covers a one-week full service guided moose hunt (fully guided hunt, all meals, & lodging) for both the Permittee & Sub-Permittee:
Zone 1, 2, & 4 for Bulls & Zone 1 & 2 for cows:
- Bull Moose: $6200 (includes both Permittee & Sub-Permittee)
- Cow Moose: $5800 (includes both Permittee & Sub-Permittee)
This hunt will be in the North Maine woods WMD Zones #1, 2, & 4 where the herd is large enough to have 3 Maine moose hunting seasons.
Maine Experience guides WMD Zone 1, 2, & 4 for both the Sept. and Oct. Bull season during the rut, as well as the late October cow moose only hunt in WMD Zone 1 & 2.
There is nothing that gets the blood flowing during fall in the North Maine Woods like having a huge bull moose raking and grunting his way through the woods answering your guide’s moose call!
The hunt includes Sunday to Saturday lodging, all your meals, transportation from outpost spike camp to the hunting grounds, LOTS of pre-scouting by your actual guides and game-cameras, 1 on 1 hunting guide, a camp manager/cook, and a scout/packer, as well as getting your harvested moose out of the woods, transporting the moose to the nearest State Game Inspection Station, & to our butcher if you’d like. The scouting does not stop when the hunt start as our crew is always scouting and looking to give you the opportunity to harvest a beautiful Maine moose!
Our outpost spike camps are located in the heart of moose country, it is not uncommon at all to see and hear moose right in camp! Nothing gets the blood pumping in camp like hearing a mooning cow or a grunting bull just yards away from where you eat & sleep! Avoid the morning line-up at the gate or the one- or two-hour ride in and out of the North Maine Woods every day and stay with us!
All our guided Maine moose hunts are out of modern, clean, dry, and heated outpost spike camps. The client’s tents, cook shack, and mess hall are all modern and large enough to stand up and move around in… oh & did we mention dry and heated. As a permittee and sub-permittee on a guided moose hunt with us your outpost tent will an 8-man tent but will only have the two of you staying in it. You’ll have comfortable cots, changing chair, heater, table, and area to hang your cloths to dry and air out. There is an isolated comfortable floor to step down on in the morning and heat to keep you and your gear warm and dry. There is even a separate warming tent set up just to dry your gear so that you don’t have to bring wet cloths into your own tent. Fear not we have an outhouse that we try very hard to make clean and usable to all. There is nothing better than a large hot tasty meal at the end of the day or a hot lunch back at camp; our camp manger prides himself on keeping our hunters well fed and happy. Cold out during dinner; no problem our mess tent is heated and roomy enough to feed 8 at on sitting! Rain, snow, or shine we work hard to keep you warm and dry in camp! Once you book a Maine moose hunt with us, we will really take our time to listen to what You want to get out of your moose hunting experience and we will work hard to give you the safe experience you are looking for. You will have a packing list long before your hunt, so you know what is needed to make your hunt the best experience possible with plenty of time to for you ask questions and clarify what you will be bringing for gear.
To get a Maine moose tag you must enter the moose hunt lottery drawing at the Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife web site. The sign up for the lottery online runs between Feb. and mid-May every spring with the winners announced in June. WMD Zones 1, 2, & 4 are the only zones we will guide hunters in. Limiting our guiding to these three (most rural, highest moose population, & granted permits pre MIFW) zones allow our guides to really know the land and the moose where you will be hunting and not be spread too thin by guiding multiple other zones.
The hunt and stay package are for the moose hunt permittee holder, and the sub-permittee holder, for the week in the Sept. or Oct. season that you get your permit for – with all of the above-mentioned items.

Maine Moose Hunting Testimonials
Guided Moose hunting:October 1 at 8:56 AM We had an incredible trip and I know it certainly was a lifetime experience for both of us. I very much enjoyed hunting with you and your team and you guys are a class act! I truly appreciate the time put into scouting, preparation, and attention to detail in all respects. And trust me I understand the time and effort you put into making this a successful hunt. I believe we now know even more so that nothing is a given in large game hunting unless you put your time in! Eric and I truly got the full experience with the quartering and packing out and that will solidify the memories even longer. You certainly have a great and very professional service and we will be looking to hunt with you again in some form. Please feel free to use me for a reference as well. Thank you for an incredible experience!
